So it looks like Quest Diagnostics, one of the major diagnostic testing companies in the United States, has experienced a data breach resulting in over 12 million customers having their confidential data exposed.
According to NorthJersey.com:
The Secaucus-based diagnostic testing company confirmed that there was a data security incident involving AMCA, a billing collections vendor, said Wendy Bost, spokeswoman for Quest Diagnostics. While the breach did not happen at Quest Diagnostics, AMCA provides services to Optum360, which in turn provides payment services to Quest Diagnostics.
